Moving again

Saturday, September 10th, 2005

Big news…I’m moving to North Carolina. I have accepted a position as a Software Development Engineer with Network Appliance, Inc. (Netapp). It sounds like a very exciting and challenging job, and I think I will enjoy it a lot. Nonetheless, it was a very tough decision to leave IBM. IBM is a great company, and I am really going to miss the people here. I just think that this position meets my long-term goals better. My last official day at IBM is September 30, 2005.

I’ve only been to North Carolina once, and that was a few weeks ago when I interviewed. I’m not sure what to expect, but I know it will be much different than Arizona (Really?). I suppose I’ll have to get used to the humidity, the cold weather, and possibly even hurricanes and ice storms.

Yet companies with less than 1,000 employees often struggle to find the resources to tackle these challenges.

AND the device can hold almost 1,000 songs with a color display. Truly amazing! The next product is the new iTunes 5. The new iTunes 5 has a “Streamlined look-and-feel, new Search Bar, and Smart Shuffle” among other nice features.
