Thanks again Mark for the post. Oddly enough, at NetApp, I work on the Windows side..but I would LOVE to see NetApp become the 'defacto' storage system for Mac shops.

If you're starting to bring up full support for Macs, I would definitely voice your requests with your NetApp contacts. I'm pretty new here, and I think a large part of our matrix support depends on customer requests. There are a lot of Apple users here, and I too would love to see us support more configurations with Macs.

So, the real question is how do we turn NetApp into the defacto storage system for Mac shops? I've always thought the Mac space is a huge opportunity for NetApp where the two cultures have such natural similarities. Simplicity. Elegance. Making things Just Work(tm).

Get in there *now* while it's still fairly early in the Second Coming of the Mac! :)

I have to admit I've never touched AFP, and so far done very little with Macs in an "enterprise" setting, say, with NFS. That's going to change this quarter however as we bring up full support for Macs at my place of work. New stuff to learn (and break)! Yay!
